L & J Feed is a family owned and operated feed store that began 40 years ago by a husband and wife team, Lyle and Jane Smith. The company is currently run by Lyle and his son David Smith.

It began in a self-storage in South Kelso selling alfalfa from their eastern Oregon farm and wholesaling grain to other feed stores. They developed a line of feed called Cascade, which was the start of their retail business, and they expanded the company with a store in Woodland.

L & J is more than just a feed store. In addition to large animal products they sell dog, cat and small animal feed, birdseeds, garden supplies, fencing and woodstove pellets.
